The Alayna Jayne Foundation has established a yearly $1000 scholarship for a deserving Nursing student entering their upcoming Sophomore year, and who meets the criteria set forth below.

Alayna is currently in her Senior year at Monmouth University. It was in her Sophomore year she faced a cancer relapse. Despite this setback, Alayna remained committed to her education, continuing part-time studies and then summer classes to stay on track with her nursing cohort all while undergoing extensive treatment. This was challenging, but her determination to become a healthcare professional remained unwavering.

It is the Foundation's aim to sustain this scholarship for years to come, contributing to the education and development of aspiring healthcare professionals well into the future.

The $1,000 award will be disbursed consecutively in the recipient's sophomore,  to junior, and senior years, provided the student maintains full-time status in Monmouth University's nursing program and meets the minimum GPA requirement. The total award will not exceed $3,000 per student.

Monmouth University Nursing Students

The beginning of her senior year of high school, Alayna was first diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a life-changing moment that brought immeasurable challenges. However, she and her family were truly uplifted by the profound love and support from the St. Rose community. This outpouring of kindness helped the family navigate a difficult time and inspired them to give back to the community that had given them so much.

The AJF is dedicated to paying it forward, knowing firsthand the impact that community support can have during tough times. By providing scholarships, we aim to assist St. Rose seniors who have, in some way, been affected by cancer. Through these scholarships, we hope to continue the cycle of generosity and support, ensuring that our beloved community remains a beacon of hope for those in need.

SRHS students should reach out to their guidance counselors for more information on applying for this scholarship.

Congratulations to our St Rose Scholarship Award Recipients!
